Unfinished Documentary About Unfinished Nicolas Cage Superman Movie TRAILER

Some things in Hollywood will never be forgotten, even if they were never made.

Nicolas Cage as Superman, directed by Tim Burton, written by Kevin Smith is one of those things.

Take a look at this trailer for the Unfinished Documentary about the making of 'Superman Lives' called  'The Death of Superman Lives'

Goes to show you that not every idea is gold.  Also, not even Hollywood money can save a film.

Terrific short film called 'First Kiss'

Kissing someone for the first time can be awkward, exciting, nerve wracking and wonderful all at the same time.

In this short film, director Tatia Pilieva asks a few random strangers to kiss for the first time.  What happens is both funny and beautiful.

Seeing people react before the kiss and after is quite amazing.

Watch the Cast & Crew of 'The Conjuring' in the BTS Footage!!!

Excellent Behind the Scenes footage from "The Conjuring".  I love watching unfiltered BTS and this is some of the best footage I've seen.

Here is an interview with Director James Wan.

I love seeing all the professionals working at the highest level.  This crew is amazing.  I do believe that aspiring actors should pay close attention to how "in-the-moment" the actors are on this film.  Even when they run off camera they are still in it!  That is how it's done.
 Amazing footage to watch!

Here is the trailer for "The Conjuring" in case you haven't seen it yet.

HILARIOUS '80's HELLRAISER' commercial

Oh the 80's.

Nothing says Hellraiser like a satin jacket, sweatpants, or a thermos.

This restored commercial clip, which appeared at the beginning and end of the movie in the first 1987 release of Hellraiser on VHS and Betamax, offered fans a chance to buy Hellraiser swag.

It spoofed popular infomercials and featured a helpful introduction from a crazy cat lady, who along with her clearly stuffed feline friend, was about to pop a “new watch and wear” video into the old VCR.

Sorry fans, the commercial offer expired in 1989, but check out the full video to see what happened to the cat lady after Hellraiser entered her life. It’s super clever, filled with terrible puns, really silly, and makes me wish everything still looked like this.

An All Female Expendables movie planned

Just as "The Expendables 2" explodes into theaters, Adi Shankar's banner 1984 Private Defense Contractors has tapped Dutch Southern to write an all-female riff on the star-studded action franchise.

Shankar ("The Grey") will produce for 1984 Private Defense Contractors, which plans to fully finance the "Expendables"-inspired project. Company is already in talks with several prominent actresses affiliated with the action genre.

My question to you is who would you like to see in an ALL FEMALE Expendable-esque film?

Lionsgate's Motion Poster for 'Dredd' Teasing a Comic-Con Screening

Everyone is getting ready for next weeks Comic-Con panels and looks like Lionsgate is going to get your attention with this poster.

I recently had a conversation with Director Sage Hall about Motion Graphic Posters.

A few years ago they released one for Terminator Salvation and A Haunting in Connecticut but I don't think they were a hit.

Technology being what it is now, I'm positive we will be seeing many more of these in the future.  Since Magazines and News Papers will be a thing of the past in 5-10 years. Digital Advertising will have to step up and be more creative and entertaining.

Take a look at the new DREDD 3D motion graphics poster art.

Dredd 3D opens in theaters on September 21.  Check out JudgementIsComing.com where you can register and learn more about the screening at Comic-Con.

Jamie Lee Curtis to appear at HorrorHound Convention in November!

The rumors are true.

Jamie Lee Curtis has agreed to attend her first-ever horror convention. ...

And it will also be her last!

Jamie Lee Curtis has signed on as the guest of honor at this November's HorrorHound Weekend event. The event will take place over the weekend of November 16-18th, 2012 at the Indianapolis Marriott East, 7202 East 21st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46219.

Jamie Lee Curtis will be appearing at the event on both Saturday (November 17th) and Sunday (November 18th) for autograph sessions, photo-ops and an on-stage Q/A panel which is sure to be epic. This is a landmark opportunity for fans, as Jamie has never attended an event like this, nor provided horror fans with the opportunity to have their memorabilia signed in such a capacity. And it's all for charity, via the Starlight Children's Foundation. ALL monies earned from Jamie's autograph sessions, photo-ops and stage event will go directly to the Starlight Children's Foundation. In fact, part of the proceeds from HorrorHound Weekend's ticket sales will also be donated to this amazing charity as we will also be taking donations at the event for anyone wishing to help this cause further. More details about the charity and other ways you can help will be listed on this event's Web site when it is launched next month.

In conjunction with Jamie Lee Curtis' jump into the world of horror conventions, Jamie wanted to make sure that it was expressed that this will be a one time only appearance. Once this event is over, Jamie Lee Curtis will be retiring from the horror convention scene making this appearance all the more important for all those fans who have been patiently waiting for this moment and opportunity to meet one of the most iconic actors in horror history. This is IT!

Jamie Lee Curtis, daughter of actors Janet Leigh (Psycho) and Tony Curtis, began her horror career in one of the most important genre films ever produced: John Carpenter's Halloween (1978)! As central character, Laurie Strode, she helped create the modern day scream queen. This was firmly established thanks to her follow-up roles in The Fog, Prom Night, Terror Train and Road Games. In 1981 she returned to the role of Laurie Strode in Halloween II. Soon after, Jamie started appearing in more high-end projects and comedies including such classics as Trading Places, A Fish Called Wanda, Blue Steel, My Girl and Forever Young. In 1994 Jamie Lee Curtis co-starred in James Cameron's True Lies. Soon after Jamie returned to the Halloween franchise with H20, released in 1998 (and again, appearing in 2002's Halloween: Resurrection). More noteworthy film releases followed, including Virus, Freaky Friday, Christmas with the Kranks and Drowning Mona. More recently, Jamie has played a recurring character on the hit TV series NCIS.

This November HorrorHound Weekend event will include a packed vendor room and will boast a number of additional celebrity guests to be announced. Halloween and Jamie Lee Curtis fans alike will want to assure they mark this date on their calendars!!! Please note that autograph tickets for Jamie Lee Curtis will be sold on horrorhoundweekend.com in advance of the event. This decision has been made to assure that people traveling for this appearance will know prior to booking their travel that they in fact are going to meet this screen legend. Ticket information will be available next month.

HorrorHound's annual November event is usually held in Cincinnati, Ohio, however, due to the popularity of this event, we decided to move our event to our more-established (and larger) hotel in Indianapolis. HorrorHound Weekend will return to Cincinnati on its new date: March 22-24th, 2013 at the Sharonville Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

We urge people to learn more about the Starlight Children's Foundation by visiting http://www.starlight.org.

More details about HorrorHound Weekend can be found on-line at www.horrorhoundweekend.com. A full guest list and Web site for this November event will be on-line shortly.

Charlize Theron Shaves Her Head for 'Mad Max: Fury Road'

Looks like Charlize Theron (Monster, Æon Flux) was spotted in Namibia this week with her newly adopted son where she is about to start filming Mad Max: Fury Road any day.   Apparently Theron's character, Furiosa needs to have a shaved head.  Honestly, living in the desert, in Africa, in a post apocalyptic world, I can't imagine anyone having hair.

The film is a reinvention of the Mad Max series which made Mel Gibson a star.

Tom Hardy (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) will star as Max.

I have a deep respect for Theron. She manages to captivate me in almost every film she is in. Her Academy Award winning performance in Monster is what made her a household name, but she has really risen to be one of the best actresses in Hollywood and it has nothing to do with her Dior J'adore beauty

Tech Note:
The film was originally supposed to be shot with 3D cameras but that is not happening .  Now, according to news reports, Warner Bros. will be using Alexa digital cameras combined with Canon and Olympus DSLR's.

Warner Bros. is obviously trying to cut costs where it can and will employ digital 3D after the film is shot.  That didn't work out so well for some films (Clash of the Titans being one of them) but it did however, work out well for The Avengers.

 We shall see.

'LOOPER' official trailer released Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Bruce Willis

Seriously, I want to see this film.  I've been following it on Twitter (@loopermovie) for a while now.  Looks intense.
Sony Pictures has released an international trailer for Rian Johnson's futurist action thriller Looper which you can watch using the player below. Opening in theaters on September 28, the film stars Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Noah Segan, Piper Perabo and Jeff Daniels.

In Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Willis) for assassination.

Keanu Reeves Uses NEW CAMERA Equipment from Bot & Dolly

Keanu Reeves (The Matrix, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure) is stepping behind the camera for a film called  "Man of Tai Chi".
He's teaming up with members of the kung fu team of The Matrix Trilogy, namely Tiger Chen who will star in the film as "a young martial artist whose fighting skills brings him to a realm of vast opportunities and painful choices."

The camera equipment is from Bot & Dolly and it's pretty revolutionary.

Watch the concept video below to see Reeves' shooting style and some test choreography from the film.

"Despite the Gods" a documentary about a film that went to hell.

I'm not sure how many of you actually know about Jennifer Lynch's film Hisss, but let's just say the film is crap. It's not her fault at all and I think this documentary will help explain just how a film can get taken over by producers who are crazy.

The film, Despite the Gods, is scheduled to have its world premiere at HotDocs this year, and here's how they're synopsis is:

Jennifer Lynch, daughter of cult film auteur David Lynch, made her auspicious directorial debut in 1993 with Boxing Helena at the Sundance Film Festival. A box office disaster, the film was viciously mauled by critics and became the focus of multiple lawsuits. Fifteen years later, a recovering addict and hard-working single mother, Lynch returns to the director's chair with an ambitious project that will test her skills and the entire crew's sanity. Despite the Gods brings us behind the scenes on the set of Lynch's Bollywood/Hollywood action film about a man-eating snake goddess. Out of her depth shooting on location with an Indian crew and two top Bollywood stars, Lynch turns her production into a vehicle for her own self-actualization, paying no regard to timeline, budget or reality. As the story in front of the camera derails, the story behind the camera explodes.

I think Jennifer Lynch is amazing.
Surveillance (2008) is a stellar film and represents a true director and writer at work. RENT or BUY Surveillance now!

MGM Declairs Chapter 11

via TheMovieBlog.com:

Looks as though Metro Goldwyn Mayer was forced to file Chapter 11 this past week.  The studio was forced by a private investor and now, looks like the entire library of films will be up for auction.  There are some great titles on the MGM label.  It will be interesting to see what the other studios try and buy up when the bidding starts.

Remember that One Movie? 'batteries not included'

This week I want to take you back to 1987.

'batteries not included' is the story of some down on their luck apartment building tenants and their unlikely bonding with aliens from outer space.

It's a feel good film, but I still feel that it holds up today.  Yes some of the graphics and CGI work are not so great, but who really cares?  It's a classic from the 80's and I think it's still a tremendously fun film to watch.

Director: Matthew Robbins (the Legend of Billie Jean)
Starring: Academy Award Winner Jessica Tandy (Driving Miss Daisy), Hume Cronyn (her real life husband) and Elizabeth Peña (Rush Hour).

There has been talk about this film since it premiered a while back at Sundance.  Now it's got a distribution deal and will be causing panic attacks soon!

I'll see it, not sure if I'm jumping up and down to do so, but I enjoy the concept.

Gordon-Levitt & Johansson might be in Zombie Love?

We're all looking for a good zombie love story, aren't we?

Looks like Diablo Cody ("Juno", "Jennifer's Body") will be producing the book to screen adaptation of S.G. Browne's novel 'Breathers: A Zombie's Lament' for Fox Searchlight.

Though the interesting news is that Joseph Gordon-Levitt ("500 Days of Summer) and Scarlett Johansson (Iron Man 2) are apparently "loosely" attached.

I'm intrigued.   These are two of my favorite actors working today and seeing them together in a zombie film could be freakin awesome.

Here is a Synopsis of the story:

"Andy Warner reanimates after the car accident that kills his wife, but is too mangled from his injuries to talk. He lives in his parents' wine cellar, occasionally attending a zombie support group and struggling to rejoin a society that offers the undead no rights, bans them from working and doesn't even punish those who destroy them. When Andy and his fellow zombies—notably Rita, a sexy suicide victim with a lipstick fetish, and Jerry, a Playboy-obsessed stoner—learn why they're so driven to consume human flesh, the repercussions are both tragic and hilarious. Browne neatly mixes humor and extreme violence with a surprisingly tender love story, some witty social satire and an extremely strong narrative voice."

Jamie Lee And Sigourney: Is 'Halloween' Or 'Alien' Scarier?

I swear I was just talking about how these two amazing women needed to team up in an action/horror soon!

It should happen! But for now, this interview will have to do.
