Nathan Fillion as you've never seen him before!

This is a Nathan Fillion-approved image from QMx. Taking its inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci’s famed Vitruvian Man and Fillion’s famed role of Capt. Mal Reynolds on Joss Whedon’s beloved-but-short-lived sci-fi series Firefly, it really needs to be seen to be believed. Check it out below:

Designer Mohammad “Hawk” Haque explained this unmistakable work of art:

I had no doubt this illustration was going to raise quite a few eyebrows. So what’s the surprise? It’s absolutely in line with Nathan Fillion’s perfection. Men want to be him. Women want to be with him. It’s no wonder. When you’ve got a got a custom revolver with a barrel like that for a loincloth it’s official: You represent the ultimate in manliness.

Indeed! Should you desire to place this image upon your wall, or perhaps wear it upon your person, you can purchase a poster and t-shirt at QMx.  "

'CARRIE' remake begins production, who's in the cast?

Lionsgate just announced the news. The remake to the thriller CARRIE has begun production. Here are all the details:

Principal photography has commenced in Toronto, Ontario on the highly anticipated horror film CARRIE, it was announced today by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and Screen Gems. Director Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don't Cry; Stop-Loss) reimagines Stephen King's best-selling novel for MGM and Screen Gems' take on the enduring genre classic. Starring Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), four time Oscar-nominee Julianne Moore (Boogie Nights, Hannibal) and Judy Greer (The Descendants), CARRIE tells the supernatural tale of a telekinetic teenage girl tormented by her peers. CARRIE is slated for a 2013 theatrical release.

The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday, Youth in Revolt), but only Chris' best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde, The Three Musketeers), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (newcomer Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc. Brian De Palma's 1976 film version of CARRIE earned Oscar nominations for stars Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.

MGM and Screen Gems' CARRIE is directed by Kimberly Peirce and produced by Kevin Misher (Public Enemies). J. Miles Dale(The Vow) serves as executive producer and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Big Love) wrote the script from King's original story. CARRIE's creative team includes Director of Photography Steve Yedlin (Looper), Production Designer Carol Spier (Eastern Promises),Costume Designer Luis Sequeira (The Thing) and Editor Lee Percy (Boys Don't Cry)

Angelina Jolie is flying around as 'MALEFICENT'

Here are some more photos from the set of Disney's Maleficent showing Angelina Jolie flying around with the help of some special effects tools. She's going to be so awesome in this role; she seems perfect for it! There are also a few pictures of a medieval army marching into battle.

The movie is being directed by visual effects artist Robert Stromberg and also stars Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville.

This is the untold story of Disney’s most beloved villain, Maleficent, from the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty. The film reveals the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse Aurora and put her in a deep sleep. In a previous interview Jolie had this to say about the movie and her character,

"It’s not anti-princess, but it’s the first time they’re looking at this epic woman. I hope in the end you see a woman who is capable of being many things, and just because she protects herself and is aggressive, it doesn’t mean she can’t have other [warmer] qualities.

It sounds really crazy to say that there will be something that’s good for young girls in this, because it sounds like you’re saying they should be a villain. [Maleficent] is actually a great person. But she’s not perfect. She’s far from perfect.

In general, it’s a very good message to say, “Let’s look at something from the other side.” But then also, what our challenge will be - and the script writer [The Lion King and Alice in Wonderland’s Linda Woolverton] has already cracked it - is not to simplify it, not to just reverse the story but tell a bigger story that doesn’t point the finger [at Princess Aurora] either."

Seriously, I want to see this film.  I've been following it on Twitter (@loopermovie) for a while now.  Looks intense.

'SPARTACUS' star Andy Whitfield's battle with cancer captured in new Documentary

Fans of Starz's sword-and-sandals drama "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" were devastated to learn last September that original series star Andy Whitfield had passed away from non-Hodgkin lymphoma at the tragically young age of 39. But now there's a way for fans to help memorialize the late actor.
A new documentary chronicling Whitfield's battle with the disease, "Be Here Now," is in post-production now, and the filmmakers are seeking fan donations to help complete the project.

Entertainment Weekly first reported on the documentary from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lilibet Foster, in which Whitfield invited a camera crew to follow him as he traveled the world with his wife Vashti, seeking alternative treatment from the best doctors in the world in hopes of beating his grim cancer diagnosis. "Be Here Now" also gives us a behind-the-scenes look at Whitfield filming his lead role as Spartacus, along with heartwarming footage of his home life with Vashti and their two young children. Andy's manager Sam Maydew says of the film, "We want to bring awareness to cancer treatment so others who go through it feel they’re not alone."

Watch a trailer for the Andy Whitfield documentary "Be Here Now" right here:

But the documentary isn't finished yet, and Foster is reaching out to "Spartacus" fans on Kickstarter to solicit donations to get the film ready for release. As of press time, the project has received pledges of more than $180,000 of its $200,000 goal. But they still have a little more money to raise, so if you'd like to help pay tribute to Andy Whitfield's memory with a contribution, click here for more information.

Keanu Reeves Uses NEW CAMERA Equipment from Bot & Dolly

Keanu Reeves (The Matrix, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure) is stepping behind the camera for a film called  "Man of Tai Chi".
He's teaming up with members of the kung fu team of The Matrix Trilogy, namely Tiger Chen who will star in the film as "a young martial artist whose fighting skills brings him to a realm of vast opportunities and painful choices."

The camera equipment is from Bot & Dolly and it's pretty revolutionary.

Watch the concept video below to see Reeves' shooting style and some test choreography from the film.
